2025 Eaton Fire 

The 2025 Eaton Fire (also known as the Altadena Fire) ignited on January 7th, 2025, in Eaton Canyon in the Angeles National Forest. Covering over 14K acres, the Eaton fire took 17 lives, injured nine firefighters, destroyed over 9K acres (including historic working-class black neighborhoods), and became the 2nd largest wildfire that struck Los Angeles after the Palisades Fire.  (Learn More)
 

2025 Hurst Fire

The 2025 Hurst Fire (also known as the Sylmar Fire) ignited on January 7th, 2025 near Sylmar in the San Fernando Valley as a result of dry conditions and strong Santa Ana winds. Covering over 700 acres, the Hurst Fire forced the evacuation of thousands of families, damaged key electrical infrastructure & critical medical facilities.  (Learn More)
 

2025 Moss Landing Battery Plant Fire

The 2025 Moss Landing Fire erupted on January 16th, 2025 at the world's largest lithium-ion battery storage facility, risking individuals in Moss Landing and greater Monterey Bay with environmental and health risks (including respiratory issues). 2024 Airport Fire 

The 2024 Airport Fire ignited near the Trabuco Flyers Club, a radio-controlled aircraft club and flying space in Orange County. Covering over 19K acres, the fire (caused by heavy equipment by Orange County Public Works) affected several structures along the Ortega Highway, injured two civilians, and required over 600 firefighters to limit the spread. Pfizer Oxbryta Sickle Cell Drug Lawsuit

Pfizer's Oxbryta (Voxelotor), a drug designed to treat sickle cell disease by restoring red blood cells to a normal shape, has been discovered to have safety concerns including death and an increased risk of vasoocclusive crises. Pfizer has also charged patients between $70K - $100K a year for Oxbryta prior to removing it off the market in September 2024. (Learn More)
 

ToyotaCare Plus Maintenance Plan Lawsuit

Toyota promotes its ToyotaCare Plus Maintenance Plan as a cost-saving measure for millions of consumers each year. This plan is marketed to cover all scheduled maintenance on the vehicle for a number of years or up to a certain mileage. We believe that Toyota has exaggerated the value of these plans and often only cover a sliver of the total costs. (Learn More)
