Our intake team is structured to efficiently manage and respond to incoming cases, ensuring a seamless onboarding process for our clients. The team hierarchy from the director to intake specialists is designed to optimize workflow and ensure expertise at every level.

Meet the Team

Mark Slaughter ✉

Partner of Acquisitions

Oversees the Intake, Marketing, and Client Services departments.

Julia Bryant ✉

Acquisition Attorney

Provides support to the Intake Department when a potential client wants to speak with an attorney regarding legal questions.

Juliana Valadez ✉

Intake Director

The main point of contact for direction to the Intake Team. Assesses leads and their eligibility, drafts the onboarding documents for new case types, and works directly with the Partner and Deputy Director of Acquisitions to manage the Intake Department.

Rebecca Isler ✉

Intake Manager

Assists the Director in team management, creates and manages the updates for mapping of case types and fee agreements within Lead Docket, reviews signed cases prior to sending them to Filevine, and oversees intake training.

Kathleen “Kat” Rayos ✉

Intake Supervisor

Assists with team management, primarily on the weekends, performs audits, and ensures that cases are handled and processed in a timely manner.

Intake Specialists

Our Intake Specialists are the first point of contact for our clients for all case types the firm is involved in. They are responsible for conducting initial assessments, gathering relevant information, determining the appropriate next steps for each case, and getting clients signed up. Their expertise and empathetic approach are crucial in building trust and providing support from the very first interaction.

The intake team is the gateway to our firm, ensuring that every individual seeking our support is met with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Our primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial assessments to understand the needs of those reaching out to us
  • Collecting and processing necessary documentation to move forward with representation
  • Assigning cases to the appropriate departments or specialists based on the initial assessment
  • Ensuring a seamless transition for clients from intake to service provision
  • Maintaining accurate records and data to inform continuous improvement in our processes

Our goal is to make the intake process as smooth and supportive as possible, ensuring that each person feels heard, understood, and valued from their first interaction with our firm.
