Overview
LaCrisha McAllister is Counsel in our Personal Injury and Environmental Litigation practice groups where she represents individuals, families, and communities harmed by corporate misconduct, toxic exposures, and catastrophic injury. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to justice for people whose lives has been disrupted by powerful companies, dangerous conditions and preventable harm.
A fierce advocate, Ms. McAllister brings a unique blend of legal skill, social work training, and lived understanding to her practice. She is passionate about achieving justice for unsuspecting consumers, employees, and families exposed to harmful products and chemicals. Her advocacy is shaped by a belief that litigation is not only about compensation but also about giving clients a voice in systems that too often overlook them.
Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Ms. McAllister received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in social work at Illinois State University. She attended Southern University Law Center where she served as the Trial Advocacy Board Vice President and competed nationally in trial competitions. She also served as a junior editor for both the Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty and Southern University Law Review. As a law student, Ms. McAllister worked as a research assistant in the Louis Berry Institute for Civil Rights and Injustice under Angela Allen-Bell, an experience that further solidified her commitment to civil rights, human rights, and restorative justice.
In 2021, Ms. McAllister graduated cum laude among the top 10% in her class with a Juris Doctor degree and received the CALI Award of Excellence for the highest grade in both Legal Writing and Trial Advocacy. Ms. McAllister’s legal career has included service as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jennifer M. Medley of Orleans Civil District Court, as well as work with firms focused on chemical exposures, toxic torts, personal injury, and mass tort litigation. These roles strengthened her ability to navigate complex litigation while maintaining a client-centered approach rooted in preparation, compassion, and relentless advocacy.
LaCrisha has significant experience representing employees and their families in chemical exposure cases against major industrial plants. Her work has involved claims related to asbestos, benzene, and other hydrocarbons that have caused mesothelioma, lung cancer, and other serious illnesses. Through her advocacy, she has successfully litigated against some of the largest chemical companies in the country, securing millions of dollars in settlements for her clients.
She is admitted to practice in Louisiana.
