Alicia O'Neill

Alicia O'Neill is a Partner at Singleton Schreiber, where her practice focuses on wildfire litigation, mass torts, environmental litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death claims. Ms. O’Neill brings extensive trial experience and a background in mass tort leadership to every case she handles.

Prior to joining Singleton Schreiber, Ms. O'Neill served as Managing Partner of a national Mass Tort practice, where she oversaw case intake, litigation strategy, and client communications across a broad docket. She played a central role in representing survivors of California's devastating 2017 and 2018 wildfires, including the North Bay Fires and the Camp Fire, work that contributed to a significant settlement secured from Pacific Gas & Electric on behalf of fire victims. Ms. O’Neill’s mass tort experience also spans litigation involving JUUL, 3M earplugs, Roundup, Dicamba herbicides, Valsartan, and Just for Men hair products, and she served on the leadership team for the original Paraquat multidistrict litigation, helping guide case strategy for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease following pesticide exposure.

Ms. O'Neill began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas, where she served as first-chair counsel in misdemeanor and felony trials, appeals, and writs of habeas corpus for more than a decade. During her time as a prosecutor, she specialized in handling sexual assault and domestic violence cases and defending the rights of women and children, work that deepened her passion for securing justice for those who have been harmed. She also developed a specialization in scientific and forensic evidence, including DNA technology, that has continued to inform her mass tort practice. She has since guided clients through settlement negotiations across a range of mass tort litigations, working alongside special masters and opposing counsel on behalf of injured plaintiffs.

Ms. O'Neill earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Texas, the District of Columbia, and Minnesota, as well as before the Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

As she transitions her practice from Texas to California, Ms. O'Neill is committed to continuing to mentor the next generation of women in litigation. Having built her own career trying complex cases and leading large-scale litigation teams, she is passionate about helping younger attorneys develop the trial skills and confidence needed to take on leadership roles in high-stakes matters.
