Shani Butler-Anderson

Shani Butler-Anderson serves as Counsel in Singleton Schreiber’s Southeastern Region and is a member of the firm’s Personal Injury and Environmental Litigation practice groups. A lifelong Mississippian and native of Pocahontas, MS, Attorney Anderson is passionate about advocating for individuals and families harmed by negligence and holding those responsible accountable.

Her practice focuses on personal injury, including catastrophic injury and trucking litigation, as well as environmental litigation, where she represents individuals, families, and communities seeking justice for serious injuries, property damage, and other harms. Her commitment to advocacy has earned national recognition, including her selection by Law Dragon as one of its 2026 Leading Environmental Lawyers, as well as recognition from numerous local organizations

Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Attorney Anderson served as managing partner of Johnson, Anderson & Butler, PLLC, where she practiced personal injury, medical malpractice, education law and estate planning. She also served as Deputy General Counsel for Jackson Public School District. 

Attorney Anderson graduated with honors from Tougaloo College, a historic Mississippi HBCU, and earned her law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. During law school, she served in pro-bono adoption clinic, assisting families across the state, and worked as the Executive Secretary of the Southern Law Journal of Policy and Justice. 

Deeply rooted int he Mississippi communities she serves, Ms. Butler- Anderson believes every person deserves a voice when harmed and an advocate willing to fight for justice.  Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys reading, playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
