Raphael Lobato is a Law Clerk at Singleton Schreiber, currently pursuing his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Idaho College of Law. Raised in northern New Mexico, he has a strong academic background from both the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University, where he actively participated in advocacy and educational programs, demonstrating his commitment to social justice and community service.
Professionally, Raphael has gained extensive experience in various areas of law, including litigation, civil rights, trust and estate administration—where he assisted in the distribution of roughly $50 million in assets—and immigration law. He has conducted legal research, drafted legal documents, and assisted in trial preparation for complex cases. Furthermore, he served as a research intern with the United States House of Representatives. His volunteer work includes significant contributions to organizations such as the ACLU, Barelas Community Coalition, Las Acequias del Norte y Sur Association, and the Southwest Organizing Project, showcasing his dedication to community advocacy.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Raphael enjoys fishing, hiking, running, and mountain biking. His personal experiences and commitment to civil rights, inspired by his early advocacy work and academic influences, have fueled his passion for addressing systemic inequalities. Raphael aspires to leverage his legal education and experiences to become a powerful advocate for social justice, civil rights, and policy reform.
