ABOUT ME
Giselle Zarate is a Paralegal in the Fire Damages Department at Singleton Schreiber. She is grateful to be part of a team that advocates for clients’ best interests and commits to top-quality service. She is proud to support the Fire Damages Team and be part of Singleton Schreiber’s mission of client advocacy. She is eager to be part of a team that is defined for its passion, community-led mindset, and dedication to justice.
As a University of California, San Diego student, Giselle lobbied for immigration-related legislation as part of the Legislative Advocacy Program at UCSD's Undocumented Student Services Center and marketing intern for UCSD’s legal services team, advocating for the rights of underrepresented minorities and students. Giselle lobbied locally and in Washington, D.C. to approve legislation that would improve the lives of DACA students and families. Giselle is eager to apply her knowledge and experiences from advocacy work, while also learning from the seasoned attorneys at the firm.
Outside of work, Giselle enjoys expressing her artistic side through Ballet Folklorico. For 10 years she has performed, educated, and taught the local communities of traditional, regional Mexican folklore dance and history. She also finds comfort in reading, painting, music, and travelling. One year, she attended 2 concerts per month as her goal! Her new goal is to travel to two different countries every year and to learn a new language.
