Anissa Harris

ABOUT ME

Anissa Harris is a Senior Case Assistant assigned to the Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Team at Singleton Schreiber. She is thrilled to be part of the team because of the firm's commitment to client advocacy and their dedication to fighting for justice. She is excited to be part of a team that gives a voice to those who oftentimes deem themselves voiceless.

Anissa is a retired Supervising Probation Officer who spent her 25-year career working with youths and families. She developed a passion for helping those involved in the justice system and truly believed that setbacks were oftentimes meant to be comebacks. She gained invaluable insight into not only the juvenile justice system but other systems that impacted youths and families and advocated for system change in order to create more equitable opportunities for underserved youth and families.

Anissa graduated from Smith College with a degree in Psychology. Outside of work, she is very involved with her former foster daughters and is an advocate/support system for their mother. Anissa enjoys singing, dancing, reading, is addicted to Orange Theory, and loves to try out new eateries; hence, her addiction to Orange Theory.

FUN FACT

My first job ever was at Dairy Queen and to this day, still love their soft serve.
