Singleton Schreiber Managing Partner Brian S. Colón Elected NALEO Educational Fund President for 2026–2027 Term

Los Angeles, CA — Brian S. Colón, Managing Partner of Singleton Schreiber's New Mexico offices, has been elected Board President of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) for the 2026–2027 term.

Colón will lead the NALEO Board as the organization continues to equip Latino elected and appointed officials across the country with the information, resources, and tools they need to serve their communities.

"I am honored to serve as NALEO Board President and look forward to working with CEO Erica Bernal-Martinez, our outstanding staff, and fellow board members," said Colón. "Our members are doing important work every day — in city halls, school boards, statehouses, and county offices — and my goal is to make sure NALEO is delivering for them by providing the data, policy insights, peer connections, and practical tools they need to lead effectively and serve their communities well."

Colón brings more than three decades of experience across law, public service, and civic leadership. In addition to his role at Singleton Schreiber, he previously served as New Mexico State Auditor, where he led major efforts to strengthen government accountability and recover tens of millions in public funds, and as Chair of the New Mexico Democratic Party. He currently serves as a Member of the New Mexico Commission of Public Records.

Colón will be formally recognized in his new role at the NALEO 43rd Annual Conference, taking place July 14–16, 2026, in Los Angeles at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. The conference marks NALEO's 50th Anniversary and returns to Los Angeles, where the organization was founded.
