New Mexico Trial Lawyer & Former New Mexico State Auditor Brian S. Colón Elected Board President Of NALEO

Brian S. Colón, Managing Partner and Trial Lawyer at Singleton Schreiber, was featured by LA Daily Post in an article titled "New Mexico Trial Lawyer & Former New Mexico State Auditor Brian S. Colón Elected Board President Of NALEO," published on July 30, 2026.

Colón was elected Board President of NALEO (National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials) for the 2026–2027 term. He will lead the organization's mission to empower and equip Latino elected and appointed officials nationwide and to provide data, policy insights, peer networks, and governance tools to leaders at every tier of government.

Colón brings over three decades of legal expertise and public service to the position, including service as New Mexico State Auditor from 2019 to 2023, where he oversaw government accountability initiatives and recovered millions of dollars in public funds. As a trial lawyer at Singleton Schreiber, he represents New Mexicans in cases against multi-billion-dollar corporations and government entities, including significant litigation against FEMA for compensation to victims of the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon fire.
