Over 1.8 Million Ninja Foodi Pressure Cookers Recalled Due to Burn Injury Risk

Ninja Foodi pressure cookers are now being voluntarily recalled because of potential burn hazards. On May 1, 2025, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a notice announcing the recall due to over 100 reports of burn injuries, with reports of more than 50 second or third-degree burns to consumers’ faces or bodies. Currently, 26 lawsuits have been filed against Ninja’s parent company, SharkNinja, because of the injuries consumers have sustained.

If you or a loved one has suffered burns or other injuries while using a recalled Ninja Foodi pressure cooker, you may be entitled to compensation. Call Singleton Schreiber today to schedule a free consultation to discuss your legal options.

What Consumers Need to Know About the Recalled Pressure Cookers

For owners of the Ninja Foodi OP300 Series pressure cookers, the recall highlights an urgent safety issue – the pressure-cooking lid can be opened during operation, allowing dangerously hot food or liquid to escape. While the burn injuries have already occurred, the risk persists for anyone still using one of the affected units.

The recall applies to more than 1.89 million units of the Ninja Foodi 6.5-quart Multi-Function Pressure Cooker, specifically the OP 300 Series models. These appliances were widely sold at major retailers and online marketplaces from January 2019 through March 2025. Notably, replacement pressure cooker lids for these models are also part of the recall, meaning even some users who previously replaced a lid may still be at risk.

According to SharkNinja, consumers should stop using the pressure-cooking feature immediately, though other functions such as air frying can still be used. The company is offering free replacement lids to address the safety issue.

The following models are included in the recall:

  • OP300
  • OP301
  • OP301A
  • OP302
  • OP302BRN
  • OP302HCN
  • OP302HAQ
  • OP302HW
  • OP302HB
  • OP305
  • OP305CO
  • OP350CO

Each unit is black, with “Ninja” printed on the front and the model number located on a label on the side.
