Overview

Sara L. Williams is a Partner at Singleton Schreiber focused on personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ms. Williams brings extensive trial experience to the firm as it expands into Birmingham, Alabama. 

Over the course of her career, Ms. Williams has secured more than $50 million in verdicts and settlements, including a $12 million verdict against the Birmingham Max Bus System, where the defendant lost consciousness causing the bus to overturn and crash into a ravine  She has handled complex litigation from pre-trial through verdict in both state and federal courts, earning recognition for her skill in advocating for clients facing life-altering injuries and losses. 

Ms. Williams’ leadership experience is equally notable; from 2017 through 2021 she served as Managing Attorney, guiding her previous firm’s expansion to more than 100 attorneys and 400 staff across multiple states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Massachusetts. In 2021, she transitioned from management to focus on her trial practice and launched a widely followed social media platform dedicated to empowering women in law. 

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Williams is a passionate educator who has been coaching Cumberland School of Law’s nationally ranked mock trial teams since 2010 and teaching at Cumberland as an adjunct since 2012.  She had the honor of serving as Visiting Director of Advocacy Programs at Cumberland School of Law, from the fall of 2023 through the fall of 2025.  She has taught Basic Skills in Trial Advocacy and Advanced Skills in Trial Advocacy-Civil and Depositions and. Technology. She is also a member of the Alabama State Bar, Birmingham Bar Association, American Association for Justice and more.  

Ms. Williams earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 2006 and her bachelor's degree from Florida State University in 2003. Her work reflects a commitment to client advocacy, firm growth, and fostering the next generation of trial lawyers.
