Ryan Crosswell is of Counsel at Singleton Schreiber, where he focuses on wildfire and general litigation. He brings an extensive background as a federal prosecutor, having served in multiple high-profile roles within the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney's Office.

In his most recent position as a federal prosecutor in the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, Ryan handled major public corruption cases, election threats, and campaign finance violations, both nationally and internationally. He prosecuted several high-profile cases involving former public officials, political candidates, and business leaders involved in bribery schemes. His work in these investigations, which were featured in major news outlets such as CNN and The New York Times, helped secure justice in complex political and corporate corruption cases. Ryan received the Assistant Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, conducted national and international training on successful corruption investigations, and played a critical role in updating the DOJ’s federal public corruption laws monograph.

Ryan’s earlier career includes roles in the U.S. Attorney’s Offices for the Southern District of California and the Middle District of Louisiana, where he successfully prosecuted numerous cases involving drug trafficking, fraud, and financial crimes. He also led initiatives to investigate and prosecute border corruption and financial crimes, significantly contributing to the investigation of federal agents engaged in illegal activity.

In addition to his legal career, Ryan holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and has a distinguished military background, including serving as a legal advisor in a magistrate-like role making probable cause determinations over criminal charges during his military service.

Ryan earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he also completed a Master of Arts in History. He holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education (Summa Cum Laude) from Vanderbilt University. He has served as an adjunct professor at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, where he has taught appellate writing and legal advocacy.
