Gerald Singleton, Managing Partner at Singleton Schreiber, was recently featured in CBS4 News in an article titled “Union Pacific Sued Over Train Sparks that Allegedly Ignited Rowena Fire.” In the article, Singleton discusses a lawsuit filed against Union Pacific on behalf of residents displaced by the Rowena Fire, which scorched more than 3,600 acres in Wasco County, Oregon. He emphasized the preventable nature of the blaze, attributing it to alleged negligence by the railroad company.

“This appears to be yet another tragic example of preventable wildfire destruction linked to railroad operations,” Singleton stated. The article highlights that the fire destroyed more than 56 homes and 91 commercial properties and displaced over 1,500 residents. The firm is also hosting a town hall on June 26 in The Dalles, Oregon, to offer legal guidance to impacted community members.
