Overview

Lisa J. Nicholes serves as Counsel in the San Diego office of Singleton Schreiber, focusing on complex civil litigation including insurance recovery, bad faith, and personal injury matters. She has spent her career representing plaintiffs in both state and federal courts at trial and appellate levels, handling consumer class actions, multidistrict litigation, mass torts, employment law, and personal injury cases. Nicholes is committed to securing meaningful outcomes for her clients.

Lisa earned her J.S. from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark School where she externed for the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho and the Utah Supreme Court, served as Managing Solicitations Editor for the BYU Education and Law Journal, and received Top Honors in Employment Law. Following graduation, she balanced a full-time plaintiffs’ practice while serving as an adjunct professor for BYU Law’s Legal Interviewing and Counseling class.

She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California, including the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Central Districts, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (California State Bar No. 242852).

Lisa grew up in Arizona and graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in elementary education. She lives in North County San Diego with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new coffee shops, staying active, and learning French.
