Singleton Schreiber was recently featured by the Los Angeles Daily News in their article "What Caused Palisades, Eaton Fires in LA County? Multiple Investigations Look for Answers" which covers the ongoing investigations into the causes of the deadly Palisade Fire, Eaton Fire, and Hurst Fire in Los Angeles which has already claimed the deaths of 24 people, resulted in 24 missing persons, and resulted in an estimated $250 billion to $275 billion for business loss and property loss due to wildfires.
According to published reports from investigators (including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives), a hiking area called Skull Rock may be a possible point of origin for the Palisades Fire as a result of a reignition of another fire on New Year's Day in that area.
Allegations based on video evidence point to a Southern California Edison (SCE) as being responsible for the Eaton Fire, as cellphone footage from one witness (who lived adjacent to the Eaton Canyon) reported flames licking at the bottom of the transmission tower. Witnesses also suggest that the high-voltage lines from SCE were also not de-energized (despite the high treat of fire) due to observed showers of sparks.
SCE is also accused of being the cause of the Hurst Fire based on reports that one of their Eagle Rock-Sylmar circuits being downed and experiencing a relay shortly after the fire was first reported. The SCE is also currently conducting their own investigation.
"Whatever we find, we'll be transparent with our public" according to the attorneys filing the lawsuits, including Singleton Schreiber.
