Gerald Singleton, Managing Partner at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently interviewed by LiveNow's Christina Evans in their segment, "NAACP, Singleton Schreiber Sue Over Eaton Fire Damage".

In their comprehensive 20-minute interview, Mr. Singleton and Ms. Evans discuss the Eaton Fire, highlighting the struggles that residents continue to face with the loss of their homes, property, and loved ones; the lawsuit filed against Southern California Edison (SCE); the methodology & evidence used by Mr. Schreiber's investigation team to determine SCE's liability; why Singleton Schreiber is partnering with the NAACP; and the outcomes that Mr. Schreiber is hoping to accomplish with the lawsuit.

"First and foremost, we need to make sure the people injured are compensated because we have got to get that community rebuilt. . . But the other thing that is critical is systemic change".  Mr. Schreiber said, who noted past successes his firm has had in getting utility companies like PGE to change for the better. Mr. Schreiber also closes with a message to residents for compensation to restore their lives:

"Don't be afraid to ask for help. . . If you are suffering from a loss and need help, please please don't be shy about asking for it. There are a lot of people that want to help. We have a resource page where we can help people . . .we have a full-time social worker that can direct people for immediate assistance. . .  FEMA is on the ground [and] we had a senior official come and speak about the programs that people can give [like] rental assistance, help[ing] you find a home. You can reach out to us, the NAACP, your local churches. . .  There are so many resources that can help and give you the help you need along with the community".
