More Plaintiffs Join Unison HEI Class-Action Lawsuit in Colorado

On June 11, 2026, Singleton Schreiber Senior Counsel Elizabeth Aniskevich was featured in HousingWire's coverage of an expanded class-action lawsuit against Unison Agreement Corp. and its affiliates. The amended complaint adds additional Colorado homeowners to the case, with plaintiffs alleging they were misled about the true costs and long-term financial impact of Unison's home equity investment agreements.

The newly added plaintiffs come from different backgrounds and circumstances, but their experiences share a common theme: they entered into agreements they believed would provide financial flexibility, only to later face repayment obligations they claim were far greater than expected. The lawsuit alleges these experiences are not isolated incidents, but part of a broader pattern affecting homeowners across Colorado.

Discussing the amended complaint, Aniskevich stated, "Every new plaintiff in this case tells the same story; they trusted Unison's promise of a simple, interest-free product, and they are now trapped." The litigation seeks to hold Unison accountable under Colorado consumer protection and lending laws while raising broader questions about the transparency and structure of home equity investment products.
