Singleton Schreiber was recently featured by the Los Angeles Times in their article, "Late Evacuation Orders in Altadena Raise Haunting Question: Could More Lives Have Been Spared?" which provides coverage into the Eaton Fire and how residents in Altadena, a racially diverse area, had received delayed evacuation orders compared to the predominantly white Eastern side, possibly contributing to the deaths of 17 individuals and the destruction of over 9,000 structures.

The article continues by providing personal accounts of Altadena residents who escaped the fire, a history of Altadena, the ongoing investigation by LA County, and the wildfire lawsuit filed against Southern California Edision (SCE) by the NAACP and Singleton Schreiber.

"There should be accountability", said Derrick Johnson, president of the NAACP, in a statement with Singleton Schreiber as co-counsel. “The real question is, why? Why would that be, when they're in the same neighborhood? There should be accountability . . . People died because of that. ... It’s alarming when disparities surface, no matter what it looks like.”
