Join Kevin Hannon, Partner at Singleton Schreiber, for the Ready People, Resilient Futures Community Training during the NAACP’s Katrina 20 Week of Action on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (CT) at Xavier University in New Orleans. WHAT: Ready People, Resilient Futures – Power in the Storm Panel

Hosted by the NAACP and sponsored in part by Singleton Schreiber, this training marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with a focus on disaster resiliency, equity, and community empowerment. Kevin’s session will address:

  • Filing for FEMA and state disaster resources

  • Insurance considerations and appeals

  • Environmental issues during cleanup efforts

  • Filing civil rights complaints and legal advocacy

  • Examples of litigation advancing disaster equity
