Overview
Wendy Laurel-Sheveland is a member of our mass torts, fire litigation, and civil litigation practice groups. Based in our Hawaii office, she represents victims of the Maui wildfires.
A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Ms. Laurel-Sheveland holds a B.A. in economics and is a Phi Beta Kappa member. She attended Stanford Law School, where she graduated with distinction. She was a member of the Environmental Law Journal and interned with the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund in Honolulu, as well as with Surfrider Foundation.
Ms. Laurel-Sheveland completed a federal clerkship with Magistrate Judge Yamashita at the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii. She was admitted to the Hawaii bar in 1994.
Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Ms. Laurel-Sheveland worked as an of counsel attorney, doing legal research and writing for civil litigation firms on Maui and throughout Hawaii. She also taught college courses in both law and economics.
Ms. Laurel-Sheveland has been a resident of Lahaina, Maui since 1998.
