Suzanne Fortner

Associate Attorney

Overview

Suzanne Fortner is an Associate Attorney at Singleton Schreiber's Farmington, New Mexico office, where she focuses her practice on personal injury cases. A former criminal prosecutor turned defense and family law attorney, Suzanne brings diverse trial experience and a deep-rooted passion for seeking justice on behalf of her clients and her community.

Suzanne's legal career has been defined by her commitment to advocating for those whose voices are often overlooked. After beginning her career in private practice, she dedicated significant time to representing women who were victims of domestic violence, an experience that ignited her passion for fighting on behalf of victims who are marginalized or ignored by society. This foundation in criminal prosecution, defense, and family law has equipped her with the courtroom skills and empathy necessary to effectively represent personal injury clients seeking accountability and justice.

A proud New Mexican, Suzanne earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Theatre Acting and her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Mexico.

Beyond her legal practice, Suzanne is deeply engaged with New Mexico's art and entertainment community. She volunteers her time as both an attorney and performer with local theatre and film studios whenever the opportunity arises, reflecting her belief in giving back to the community she loves and the state she calls home.
