Overview

Steven A. Frisch serves as Counsel in Singleton Schreiber's San Diego office, where his practice focuses on workers' compensation and labor-related matters. With more than 13 years of dedicated experience, Steven represents injured workers before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and guides clients through all phases of the claims process, from pre-litigation through resolution. He is known for his strategic approach to litigation and his unwavering commitment to achieving just outcomes for workers harmed on the job.

Before joining Singleton Schreiber, Steven served as a senior trial attorney, managing workers' compensation matters from inception through settlement and litigation. He handled complex workers' compensation and labor and employment disputes throughout California, developing comprehensive litigation strategies, negotiated settlements, and advised clients on compliance with state and federal labor laws. Earlier in his career, Steven gained valuable courtroom experience with the San Diego City Attorney's Office and the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Steven earned his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government—International Relations and Philosophy, with an emphasis in Applied Ethics and Law, from California State University, Sacramento. He is admitted to practice before the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Steven has been recognized as a Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch" honoree from 2021 through 2025. Beyond his legal practice, he remains active in the legal and local community, presenting at workers' compensation and employment law seminars and volunteering his time as a youth football coach.
