Overview
Ben Koh, Associate Attorney
Ben Koh began his legal career at Singleton Schreiber as a law clerk and now serves as a trial attorney in the firm’s San Diego office.
Ben represents plaintiffs in a variety of civil matters in California state and federal courts, including product liability, dangerous condition, premises liability, medical malpractice, and other catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. He has taken on major retailers for manufacturing and selling dangerous products, predatory caretakers for exploiting vulnerable individuals, and government entities for civil rights violations and negligence. As a litigator, he brings discipline, persistence, and empathy to every case, an approach that has produced life-changing results for his clients. This year alone, Ben has already recovered more than $12 million for his clients.
Ben took his first case to trial during his second year of practice. Most recently, Ben and his team secured a 10-2 liability verdict assigning their client no fault, followed by a $5.975 million damages award for a 76-year-old man who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a premises liability case. Ben’s dedication and success as a young trial attorney have earned him national recognition, including being named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for 2027.
Mentorship and community led Ben to where he is today. He pays it forward by mentoring dozens of law students and new attorneys. He also holds leadership positions with the Korean American Bar Association of San Diego and the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego, both of which have recognized him for his service to the legal community.
While attending law school at the University of San Diego, Ben proudly served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. He also interned with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and volunteered at a reentry advocacy nonprofit, helping provide legal assistance to formerly incarcerated individuals.
Ben has called San Diego home for nearly a decade. He is a connoisseur of Korean BBQ, karaoke rooms, and live music events. In his free time, you can find him DJing, snowboarding, or spoiling his standard poodle, Ephraim.
