Singleton Schreiber Files Sixth Lawsuit Against SeaTac Motel 6 Locations Alleging Sex Trafficking of Minor

SEATTLE, WA – Singleton Schreiber has filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a Jane Doe survivor that was trafficked for sex as a minor at two Motel 6 properties in SeaTac, Washington. This marks the sixth lawsuit the firm has brought against the same Motel 6 locations near SeaTac, Washington, two of which were directly owned by the Motel 6 parent companies at relevant times. The number of survivors coming forward with consistent stories of brutal, open sex trafficking at the same Motel 6s underscores a persistent and systemic failure to address trafficking at the properties. Each lawsuit details the motel employees’ knowledge, notice and participation in the trafficking.

The Complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, alleges that the plaintiff was just 14 years old when she was trafficked at Motel 6 locations on Pacific Highway South and 47th Avenue South in 2013. The lawsuit names G6 Hospitality entities and a franchise operator, SeaTac Hotels, LLC, asserting that they knowingly benefited from and facilitated the trafficking venture in violation of the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA).

The defendants ignored clear and repeated signs of sex trafficking, allowed traffickers to operate openly on their properties, and profited from room rentals tied to the exploitation. The suit further alleges that the companies failed to implement basic anti-trafficking measures or adequately train staff, despite longstanding industry knowledge and widely available resources.

“This is not an isolated incident—it’s part of a disturbing pattern,” said Meagan Verschueren, Counsel for Singleton Schreiber that leads the sex trafficking practice group. “For years, these same properties have been the site of repeated sex trafficking allegations, and yet meaningful action to protect vulnerable individuals has not been taken. Our client was a child who endured unimaginable abuse, and this lawsuit seeks to hold these companies accountable for the role they played in enabling that harm.”

The complaint details how traffickers used the motel rooms as a base of operations, subjecting the plaintiff to repeated sexual exploitation, violence, and psychological trauma. It further alleges that motel staff and management either knew or should have known about the trafficking based on obvious indicators but failed to intervene.

Singleton Schreiber has filed multiple similar cases nationwide as part of its broader effort to hold hospitality companies accountable for their alleged role in facilitating human trafficking.

“Our client’s experience is tragically consistent with what we’ve seen in other cases involving this location,” Meagan added. “We have filed six lawsuits tied to the same properties but these have not been the only lawsuits. Others have been filed, including another one involving another minor on March 20, 2026. All of these lawsuits should be a wake-up call. These companies cannot continue to turn a blind eye while profiting from exploitation.”

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages for the severe physical and emotional harm she suffered.
