Danielle Ward Mason and her team join Singleton Schreiber, boosting the firm’s presence in the Southeastern US and Mass Torts practice
Two of the leading firms in the Hair Relaxer litigation combine forces
San Diego, CA – Today, Singleton Schreiber announced that powerhouse mass tort attorney Danielle Ward Mason has agreed to join the firm as a partner. With the addition of Ward Mason and her team, Singleton Schreiber expands the firm’s strength and reach into the Southeastern U.S., as well as further bolstering the firm’s mass torts practice. It also brings two of the leading firms in the Hair Relaxer litigation together as the case moves toward trial.
Ward Mason -- CEO and founding partner of Bullock Ward Mason (BWM), a top female-led law firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia -- joins Singleton Schreiber after more than 16 years as an incredibly accomplished attorney. She was the first black woman to be named partner at two major national law firms and is a leading litigator on cases impacting women’s health. In addition to being a national leader in the Hair Relaxer cases, she previously obtained almost a billion dollars in verdicts against J&J on behalf of a woman who contracted ovarian cancer as a result of using talcum powder.
“My team and I are committed to obtaining justice for the women who were harmed by Revlon, L’Oreal and the other makers of Hair Relaxer products. While we loved having a small firm, joining Singleton Schreiber gives us the resources we need to carry on this fight for as long as it takes. In working with the Singleton Schreiber team on these cases, I realized that we had the same commitment to our clients and shared the same client-centric approach. We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to combine forces on this case and others,” said Danielle Ward Mason.
In addition to Ward Mason, BWM’s director of mass torts Latoya Chambers, associates LaCrisha McAllister and Kristina Aiad-Toss, and several legal support staff will be joining the firm as well.
“From the first time I met Danielle and her team, I knew they were people that we wanted to work with. Danielle is a phenomenal trial attorney, and she has done an excellent job of putting together a great team. We all have the same vision and passion for helping our clients, and I’m really excited about working with Danielle, Latoya, LaCrisha, Kristina and the rest of their team,” said Gerald Singleton, managing partner of Singleton Schreiber.
