Singleton Schreiber, LLP, is pleased to announce that award-winning appellate attorney Benjamin I. Siminou has joined the firm as a senior partner. Ben will co-lead the firm’s newly created Appellate/Law & Motion practice group.
Ben brings extensive appellate experience to the firm, with victories in the California Supreme Court, California Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and Nebraska Supreme Court. Ben is perhaps best known for T.H. v. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a landmark victory for consumers of pharmaceutical drugs in the California Supreme Court. For his work in Novartis, the Pound Civil Justice Institute in Washington, D.C., awarded Ben its 2018 “Appellate Advocacy Award,” a national honor that recognizes “excellence in appellate advocacy in America.”
In addition to his appellate practice, Ben handles complex law-and-motion work in high-stakes cases throughout the United States, with an extraordinarily high winning percentage against the biggest defendants. In 2020 alone, Ben defeated motions for summary judgment in cases with aggregate damages at stake in excess of $60 million.
