TopVerdict recognized Partner Brett J. Schreiber of Singleton Schreiber in its "Top 10 Wrongful Death Verdicts in the United States in 2025," released on September 30, 2026. Senior Counsel Srinivas Hanumadass and Counsel Carmela S. Birnbaum shared in the recognition.

Benavides v. Tesla Inc., which ended in a $329,000,000 jury verdict, earned the No. 6 spot on the national list. Mr. Schreiber and his Singleton Schreiber colleagues served as trial counsel with Todd Poses of Poses & Poses, P.A., Douglas F. Eaton of Eaton & Wolk PL, Donald H. Slavik and David Terry of Slavik Law, and Adam T. Boumel of Rousso Boumel Law Firm.

Tried before a Florida jury, the case centered on a fatal car versus pedestrian collision and claims against Tesla involving defective auto equipment, negligent misrepresentation, and failure to warn. TopVerdict also classified the matter under vehicular death, survival action, emotional distress, strict liability, gross negligence, and punitive damages.
