Brett Schreiber, Partner at Singleton Schreiber, was recently featured in The Hill in an article titled “Tesla found partly liable for fatal autopilot crash.” In the article, a Miami jury awarded hundreds of millions in a wrongful death case involving Tesla’s Autopilot, finding the company 33% liable for a 2019 crash that killed 22-year-old Naibel Benavides and seriously injured her boyfriend, Dillon Angulo.
Plaintiffs argued Tesla’s self-driving system was unsafe and lacked proper warnings. Brett Schreiber of Singleton Schreiber LLP, lead attorney for the victims, said the verdict holds Tesla and Elon Musk accountable for misleading the public. Tesla has stated it will appeal.
