Media Mention
Law 360

Robert O. Saunooke, Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber, was recently featured on Law 360. The article highlights Mr. Saunooke's professional & educational background, his successes in advocating for the compensation of Native American tribes & individuals who were victimized by Native American boarding schools in the late 19th and 20th centuries, how Singleton Schreiber can help with this mission, and his hopes that Congress will legislate to provide a true healing process to these communities.

"Our goal is to work with Tribes and their members, along with other boarding school organizations, to provide legal support and bring reparations for the over 10,000 unidentified graves of children who died during this period," Mr. Saunooke said, adding, "I am excited to be part of something that will impact people long after I am gone. . .[t]his country is built on the bones of those who were forced into religious reeducation. The time has come for recognition and accounting, and we at Singleton Schreiber stand ready to serve this purpose."

Gerald Singleton, managing partner at Singleton Schreiber, was also quoted on his thoughts on Mr. Saunooke joining the firm. "Rob adds invaluable knowledge of tribal law and experience in representing Native Americans. . .[t]he issues facing tribes across the country are severe, and Rob has intimate knowledge of the communities and the concerns they have."
