San Diego is paying out $900,000 to an 82-year-old woman whose foot and ankle were crushed in a collision with a city fire engine that ran through a red light while headed to an emergency in 2018.

“Marlowe was 80 years old at the time of the crash, but she exhibited a spirit and zest for life and adventure well below her years,” said her lawyer, Brett Schreiber.
