Media Mention
KAZU

Knut Johnson, Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently featured by KAZU during its broadcast Monterey Bay Today titled "Salinas Repeals Tenants' Rights, Moss Landing Lawsuit Continues", which aired on June 5, 2025.

During the second half of the broadcast, KAZU highlighted Mr. Johnson's recent press conference where he addressed the concerns of nearly 800 Moss Landing residents involved in a mass action lawsuit. This lawsuit targets PG&E, Vistra Energy, and several construction and chemical companies, alleging their responsibility for issues that led to the Moss Landing battery plant fires in February.

Commenting on the scope of the lawsuit, Knut Johnson stated, "We think all those folks did things that contributed to the problem that resulted in the thermal runaway and the dumping of the toxins all over the community. So our approach is to bring every bad actor to the table."

The segment concluded with Mr. Johnson emphasizing the firm's goal to move the case out of federal court and back into state court, aiming to best serve the community.
