Product Liability Group of the Year: Singleton Schreiber

Brett Schreiber, Founding Partner, alongside Partners Andrew Bluth and Chris Rodriguez at Singleton Schreiber, were featured by Law360 in an article titled “Product Liability Group of the Year: Singleton Schreiber,” published on February 27, 2026, which highlighted the firm’s recognition as one of Law360’s 2025 Product Liability Practice Groups of the Year.

The article noted that the designation was driven in part by a landmark $243 million jury verdict against Tesla in a Florida trial involving a fatal crash tied to the company’s Autopilot technology. The trial team led by Schreiber secured the verdict on behalf of the victim’s family and a crash survivor, marking the first time Tesla had been found liable at trial for a fatal crash involving the system.

Addressing the significance of the case, Schreiber told Law360 that the verdict reflected accountability for the automaker’s approach to autonomous driving technology. “It was not an indictment of the autonomous vehicle industry,” he said. “It was an indictment of Tesla, because they are and were and remain an industry outlier, and the way that they have tried to develop and roll out their autonomous vehicle technology has caused needless harm.”

The article also highlighted the firm’s broader product liability work across multiple industries. Bluth explained that the practice intersects with several areas of the firm’s litigation work, stating: “One of the things that I think is exciting about Singleton Schreiber is that our product liability piece is actually cut across a lot of our different practice groups. We have a lot of product liability cases that are part of our mass torts group. Those also cut across a lot of different industries.”

Reflecting on the firm’s approach to client advocacy, Rodriguez told Law360: “More than any other firm I've ever even heard of, we really do put our clients first. It's not about the bottom line. It really isn't.”
