Brett Schreiber, Partner at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently interviewed by CBS News 8 in their news segment, "New Lawsuit Filed Over Ongoing South Bay Sewage Crisis".

The segment focuses on Mr. Schreiber's mass action lawsuit filed against Veolia Water on behalf of residents who continue to be negatively impacted by the Imperial Beach Sewage Spill. Veolia Water is accused in the suit of being negligent, reckless, and for having over 500 instances of illegally discharging pollutants from their San Ysidro plant since 2018.

“There is power when the people lock arms and stand up together. We hope to use California nuisance law, which stands for if you have interference of use and enjoyment of your property, you have a claim in California. We want to use that to get bad actors to change their behavior,” Schreiber said.

The news segment also provides statements from Veolia and the Imperial Beach County Supervisor, who is also planning to introduce their own lawsuits.
