KSBW-TV (Salinas, CA) - Action News at 6

Knut Johnson, Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently featured by KSBW-TV during their Action News at 6 segment "Moss Landing Battery Plant Fire", which aired on June 4th, 2025, in Salinas, CA at 6:00 PM.

The segment covered Mr. Johnson's press conference held in Moss Landing on June 4th, where he addressed community concerns and provided updates on the mass action lawsuit filed in the wake of battery fires at the Vistra plant in January and PG&E's recent attempt to re-open their battery plant.

"It was poorly thought out. It was poorly planned. And like the plant itself next door, Vistra, it was poorly executed and ultimately didn't work," said Mr Johnson. "There's irony to the fact that they reopened right before we go, and then they shut it down right away. So what we hope to accomplish is more eyeballs on that issue. The fact that they had to shut the PG&E plant down right away doesn't mean it's all good. It means we should pay more attention because they're going to try again."

A hearing for the mass action lawsuit against Vistra, PG&E, LG Chem, and Granite Construction is scheduled for June 10th, to determine if the case will be handled in state or federal court.
