Following a historic verdict against the Car and Tech giant Tesla, the trial highlighted key moments of the process. The case in question is Benavides v. Tesla, Inc., which was tried before a federal jury in Miami.  The trial team was comprised of Brett Schreiber of Singleton Schreiber LLP, Todd Poses of Poses Law Group, and Adam Boumel of Rousso Boumel Law Firm. This case had been underway for a few years prior to the addition of Mr. Schreiber in May of 2024. The accident happened in 2019, when the driver of a Tesla using the autopilot feature crashed into a legally parked vehicle, killing one and seriously injuring another.

Each Attorney highlighted different challenges they faced during the entire process. Mr. Boumel and Mr. Poses had significantly more time with this case and focused on the specifics of preparing it and working with the clients. Although Mr. Schreiber joined the process relatively late, he expressed great gratitude for the opportunity to take the lead, emphasizing the opening and closing statements. Mr. Schreiber said, “This verdict was historic. Our clients walked into a courtroom against one of the biggest, most powerful corporations in the world, and they shook Tesla to its core.” This verdict creates an opening for future cases against Tesla.
