Meagan Verschueren, Counsel at Singleton Schreiber is mentioned in a recent article covering multiple hotels in Washington that are facing lawsuits alleging they knowingly profited from and failed to prevent sex trafficking on their premises. The plaintiffs, identified as Jane Does, claim the hotels ignored numerous red flags and allowed the illegal activity to continue, benefiting financially from it. These lawsuits follow similar accusations against the involved Motel 6 locations, with incidents of trafficking and assault reported from 2012 to 2023.

Verschueren stated that "For decades, hotels have failed to take action to prevent sex trafficking on their premises, and the issue is pervasive among the industry.  We're seeking justice for the terrible atrocities committed against our clients, and we want to send a message to the industry that they must do much more to prevent these crimes."
