Knut Johnson, Senior Counsel at Singleton Schreiber in San Diego, was recently featured by KION News during its KION News Channel 46 at 5P segment "Erin Brockovich and Attorney Taking on PG&E and Vistra Energy", which aired on June 4, 2025, in Salinas, CA.
The segment covered a press conference held earlier that day in Moss Landing, where Mr. Johnson and renowned environmental advocate Erin Brockovich raised concerns about the decision to reopen the Moss Landing Battery Plant. They argued the facility should remain closed following a toxic fire in February that put nearby communities at risk.
During the press conference, Mr. Johnson emphasized that PG&E and Vistra rushed to restart operations without resolving major safety issues or engaging the affected community. He also explained that the lawsuit filed by Singleton Schreiber seeks accountability, medical monitoring for those affected, and stronger protections moving forward.
A court hearing is scheduled for June 10th to determine whether the case against Vistra, PG&E, LG Chem, and Granite Construction will proceed in state or federal court.
