Lawyers in the Making Podcast

Damon Hudson, Associate Attorney at Singleton Schreiber, recently appeared as a guest on the Lawyers in the Making podcast, where he shared the story of his legal career and how he came to join Singleton Schreiber. He recounted how a spontaneous Zoom meeting unexpectedly opened the door to a job opportunity, allowing him to dedicate his practice to personal injury cases—an area of law he finds especially fulfilling. For Damon, this work is rewarding because it enables him to help clients stand up to powerful entities, such as insurance companies and negligent medical professionals.

"It was a chance to focus solely on helping people fight their insurance companies after car accidents, hold doctors accountable for harm caused, and assist those affected by someone else’s negligence," Hudson explained. "I really enjoy doing this kind of work. It invigorates me. I don’t foresee myself changing paths—I’m not going to become an estate planning lawyer at this point."

Damon also emphasized the creativity and passion required in plaintiff work, which he believes sets it apart from the more rigid and structured nature of defense work. Damon's passion for representing individuals in personal injury cases shines through, and he finds deep meaning in advocating for those who might otherwise struggle to take on large, powerful entities on their own.
