ABOUT ME

Macy Russell is a Recruitment Specialist for the human resources department at Singleton Schreiber. She is excited to bring her years of insight and experience to a firm aligned in values and positioned for continued growth.

A proud resident of Jackson, MS, she attended Mississippi State University, where she studied Biological Science. Macy has worked most of her life in recruitment, which included some Proprietary schools and one of the largest HBCUs, Jackson State University, where she worked as part of the Enrollment Management team. While there, she completed the university's leadership academy and served on many different committees to help student and community engagement. She started her human resources career as an associate analyst for talent acquisition at Continuum Global Solutions, which served clients like CVS Pharmacy and Verizon Wireless, but she has recently served as a high-volume corporate recruiter for Levi Strauss globally.

Macy has been married 18 years to the love of her life and High School Sweetheart, and they have one beautiful and energetic daughter and two “fur babies.”

She is also very active in the local political community, where she is passionate about education and equal rights for all. She has served on many campaign committees for local judges, Alderman’s, and the mayor. She is a very active member of Cooperation Jackson, AACRAO, her local church, the Jackson Community Engagement Task Force, and other social and civic groups. Macy has also won several impact awards and currently serves as a Parent Advisory Board Member for the largest school district in the state.

FUN FACT

I used to be my High School Drum Major and can Play four Instruments including Tuba!
